Summary

Biomimetic nanosponges are cell membrane-coated nanoparticles that act as decoys to attract and neutralize a wide range of biological toxins, including those from bacteria, venom, and chemical agents. By mimicking natural cell membranes, they bind toxins without needing to identify them individually, offering a broad-spectrum countermeasure for biological threats. This technology shows promise for military and public health applications, particularly against difficult-to-treat infections and chemical exposures.
